Achilles Jesus

Achilles was almost a god. He was the greatest of the Greek warriors, and his mom even bathed him in the River Styx, divinely protecting him all the way down to his heel. Of course, an arrow from Paris quelled any doubt about Achilles' divinity and immorality. But what about Jesus? Throughout John's Gospel we see Jesus equating Himself with God, to the confusion of the crowds and the consternation of the religious leaders. Was Jesus God?
