"Running tracks" is our way of shaping the souls of Seven Milers who find themselves headed toward a certain destination in life or in service to our church. Each of our tracks are uniquely designed to create space for participants to be shaped by the Gospel as they pursue a preferred future. All tracks are an exercise in Scripture, prayer, study, conversation, soulcare, and community.
Here are the Seven Mile Tracks that are being run in 09-10:

Pastor Track (or Ox Track, if you prefer) is a year-long pastoral track at Seven Mile Road designed for men who sense a clear call to pastoring at or through Seven Mile Road. One of our big visions for Seven Mile Road Boston is that we will prepare the souls of many, many pastors/planters for a lifetime of healthy, missional, Gospel-centered leadership in the life of Jesus' church. This is less of a vision we came up with, and more of something that has just sort of happened. Seemingly out of nowhere, a crew emerged from the life of our church saying "I think Jesus is calling me to pastor. And I want to do it like it's happening here. Can you help?" Yes was the obvious answer, and so we've developed a Track designed to getting people ready for the immense weight of being as pastor. While the Track has much in common with the philosophy of our soulcare communities (much prayer, wrestling with Scripture, confession, conversation, trying to weave the Gospel throughout every aspect of life, junk food), it is also weighted toward working through the unique realities of pastoring/planting churches. Since the call to serve as an undershepherd to Jesus is such a noble and intense one, we are committed investing much time and energy into doing this very prayerfully and very carefully. read more >>>
Marriage Prep Track is (so far) a four session track designed to shape the souls of a couple as they enter into the covenant of marriage together. Marriage is beautiful, glorious… and really, really hard. And so getting married is the kind of thing you want to do with your eyes wide open. At Seven Mile Road we marvel at the grace of God extended to us in the institution of marriage, and we long to see tons of strong marriages mark our community life together. And so when Seven Mile couples are on the path to saying ‘I do’, we want them arrive at the big day having thoughtfully, conversationally and prayerfully prepared their souls for a lifetime together.
