My name is Matthew Kruse and I am the Lead Pastor of Seven Mile Boston.
Buckets of grace have been poured out on me in recent years.
Real fast... a surprisingly clear call to plant a church drilled me in the forehead in 2000. And so we commenced with that idea in 2001, and for 3 years our gracious Father disciplined, corrected, taught, and got me in to shape to be a pastor. It was on-the-job training big-time, and I am so thankful for the crew who stuck with me/us during those years.
These last 3 years have been one joy after another as we oriented our shoulders to mission, buried our souls deep in the Gospel, and plowed ahead in the tough soil that is Boston and the Northeast.
My key roles in the upcoming year revolve around prayer, preaching, leading leaders, leading the vision, and representing Seven Mile Road missionally in the culture. I am handing everything else off. Whew.
I love my wife Grace, who I do not deserve, and my children.... Matthew Jacob, Brandon, Julia and Callie. I can't spend enough time with them and am trying to drink in the joy of the nonstop pace that comes with lots of young children.
I adore almost everything about serving Jesus as a shepherd to His people, take it very seriously, and hope to see many come to see the glory of God in the face of Christ in my remaining days.
