I'm Justin Gottlieb. I'm one of the guys on the pastor-track here at Seven Mile Road. God has blessed me with the chance to head up the children's ministry (along with the help of my ridiculously amazing wife), which is awesome because I get to serve by talking with all the kids who gather with us on Sunday mornings about Jesus and his grace. Additionally I get to be involved in the Monday night SoulCare group, joining others as we all seek to be shaped by the Word.
I was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, which will explain a lot once you get to know me. I came to faith in Jesus as an undergrad at Arkansas Tech. Unfortunately I didn't get plugged in with a church for several years and really missed out on the amazing privilege of being part of Jesus' church during that time. Eventually I was fortunate enough to have some really great pastors invest in me as I began to learn what being a Christian dude is about. Then as I was most of the way through college, I began sensing a call to ministry.
My awesome wife, Myrriah, and I moved here so that I could go to seminary at Gordon-Conwell, and have found a home at 7 Mile Road in the process. From the first Sunday we walked in to corporate worship, we were floored by the fact that everything done at this church centered around Jesus. Preaching was about Jesus. Singing was about Jesus. Life was about Jesus. We knew instantly that this was where we had to be. So here we are a couple of years later. Any uncertainty about what type of ministry God's called me to is slowly leaving as my love for Jesus and his church has grown while we've become part of the community at 7 Mile Road. I'm still unsure as to where Myrriah and I will end up long-term, but we're certain that for now God has called us to 7 Mile Road.
