i am new
Glad you've found our website.
So, if you are an 'average Bostonian' (if there really is such a thing), you and church probably don't mix. Maybe you had a lousy church experience, maybe you are philosophically anti-church, or maybe you just don't see the point. Life is super busy as it is, who has time to wake up on a Sunday to drive to a church for a religious check-in that bores you back to sleep?
At Seven Mile Road we are out to redefine our understanding of church. Church is not a place you go to on Sundays or when life takes a bad turn and you are looking for some help from up above. Church is a community... a people united around a common experience of the truth of the Gospel, a people who are seeking to live life in response to God's grace. Do we get together on Sundays? Yeah, but that is one act in a daily and eternal drama we find ourselves wrapped up in... a story that encompasses not only the transformation of our souls, but the renewal of all things. It's big. And it's real. And Jesus' church is a part of its unfolding. And that, we think, is something worth getting up on Sundays for.
Now, since we know it can be a little unnerving to step into a new thing, especially when you're not exactly sure about the details, here are answers to some frequently asked questions about Seven Mile. If we didn't answer a question you have, let us know.
