Hey, I’m Brent Boorsma. In addition to my role in the pastor track at Seven Mile Road, I am also a student at Gordon Conwell, a chaplain candidate in the Army National Guard, an avid fishermen, and a third-shift rent-a-cop (so if you ever get a parking at GCTS, you know who to talk to;).Oh yeah, and I also get to minister/be ministered to in one of the most amazing soul-care groups around.
As a college student in my home state of Wisconsin, I fell in love with Jesus Christ as I began to realize what a miracle redemption really is. Since then I have felt God calling my wife Jessica and me into full time ministry. Although seminary is a part of that of call, we have seen it form most clearly through our time at Seven Mile Road.
In our time here, I feel like I have learned lessons about what it means to be missional and gospel-centered that could never be conveyed in a classroom. I am so thankful to God for the grace he has shown me to be able to be mentored and gain experience in ministry with the community of believers at Seven Mile Road.
