My name is Adam Waugh and I live in Tampa, FL, where I was born and raised. I am 36 years old and have been married to my wife, Mary, for 11 of those years. We have 4 beautiful children, Meredith (9), Mali (7), Owen (5), and Eleanor (3), who are a total joy to us, even in the hard work.
I grew up in a Christian home with a twin sister and an older brother. We all still love each other, and are really grateful for the heritage and the fruit of our parents' effort to raise us in the Lord. We went, for most of my life, to a non-denominational, pentecostal church here in Tampa, where my theology and spiritual life were largely formed. My dad served as church administrator for most of those years.
In recent years, Mary and I have been awakening to the doctrines of grace and an overall reformed interpretation of scripture that affirms an infinitely big God, and our infinite need for Him. At the same time, I have been sensing a call of God for some kind of pastoral ministry, which I didn't really know what to do with at the time.
A few months ago, I reconnected with Matt Kruse, whom I knew from college. As I was seeking council from him about a possible call to pastor, he mentioned the Track, and immediately our minds began considering how we could make this work.
We are excited to be a part of this year's upcoming Track and look forward to getting walk along the Seven Mile Road together, as we pursue God's call on our lives to glorify Him.
