Carmen Dei (Retired)

Seven Mile Road’s original band had a beautiful 10 year long run leading us in passionate, gospel-centered song response as a people each Lord’s Day. It’s final incarnation was made up of John Frederick on lead guitar and vocals, Stefanie Eriksen on vocals, Nick Sutera on bass, Chris Coughlin on drums, and Laurel Moran on viola.

We  named the band Carmen Dei (which is Latin for “song of God”), which both reflected our desire for our original music to bring glory to God, and also enabled us to answer the question “which one of you’s is Carmen?” a thousand times.

With John’s pond-hopping to Scotland for university, the band’s been retired. But you can still purchase our original album, Truth Within the Static, on iTunes here.
